2012081308-13-2012 : PRICE ADJUSTMENT Toyota Lift Northwest sent an email request seeking a 3% pass-through cost adjustment from Toyota for all models of their forklifts. Toyota has categories 4, 5 & 6 on the contract. The Contract was pulled for review and it was determined that the contractor’s request for price adjustment meets with the terms and conditions of the contract for price adjustments as established in the original bid document. Prices may be adjusted after the first 365 days. Through a review of Toyota’s spreadsheet a number of minor errors were noted. It was requested that Toyota revise the pricing to be in line with a 3% pass-through cost adjustment. The PPI indicators for Categories 4, 5 & 6: The PPI used as supporting documentation for the last price adjustment request by Toyota is no longer available (PCU333924333924202). Producer Price Index Industry Data: Series Id: PCU333924333924 Industry: Industrial truck, trailer and stacker mfg Product: Industrial truck, trailer and stacker mfg Base Date: 197912 Indicates a 4.15% cost adjustment from May 2011 to the present. Producer Price Index Industry Data: Series Id: PCU33392433392427 Industry: Industrial truck, trailer and stacker mfg Product: Other work truck with lifting & handling equipment, non-riding or any non-electric Base Date: 200206 Indicates a 3.82% cost adjustment from May 2011 to the present. Based on the pricing indicators and the pass-through cost adjustment documentation provided by Toyota Lift Northwest. The Contracts Specialist recommends that Toyota Lift Northwest’s request for a pass-through cost adjustment of 3% be granted effective August 15, 2015.
2011112311-23-2011 : CONTRACT EXTENSION This contract is for the purchase of Forklifts and Lift Equipment. This contract is for use by all State Agencies, Institutions of Higher Education, Political Subdivisions, all members of the Washington State Purchasing Cooperative (WSPC) and Non-Profit Corporations may utilize this Contract. This Contract is also available for use by Oregon’s Department of Administrative Services Cooperative Purchasing Program (ORCPP). State Agencies represent 14.6% of sales with the remaining 85.4% going to the Political Subdivisions. All four (4) contractors have offered extension for twenty four (24) months. Total vendor reported sales for this term: CB Equipment dba Toyota Northwest: $1,692,871 Pape’ Material Handling: $149,594 North West Handling Systems: $ 0 Raymond Handling Concepts: $ 0 The extension request response from Pape’ Material Handling includes a cost adjustment request with an aggregate total of 4.94%. Raymond Handling Concepts’ extension request response included cost adjustment request of 3.37%. Both adjustments are to be effective on 12/01/2011. The following PPI Industry Data appears to be the most appropriate for contract 04009. Series ID: PCU333924333924202 Industry: Industrial truck, trailer, and stacker mfg Product: Work trucks w/lifting & handling equip, non-riding or any non-electric Base Date 200206 From the date of award in December 2009 till the present, this indicator allows for a cost adjustment of 6.12%. WSDOT and DOC recommended acceptance of cost adjustment requests. There are no reports of poor contractor performance. Contracts Specialist recommends that the contract be extended for a second term beginning 12/01/2011 through 11/30/2013.

Received favorable feedback from WSDOT and City of Seattle. There has been no response from Port of Skagit County or DOC as of 10/4/2011. Sent extension letters to the contract vendors on 9/22/2011. Toyota Northwest and Northwest Handling Systems has offered to extend. Pape' is seeking a price increase and there has been no response from Raymond as of 10/4/2011.

Request and specification forwarded to Pape' Material Handling who is the contractor awarded category 8 for review and pricing. Pape' agreed to add item specification to contract. City of Seattle reviewed pricing and agreed that pricing is acceptable and recommends the item to be added to contract. 2010041004-10-2010 : Contacted the next lowest responsive responsible bidders for Fork Lifts and Lift Equipment formerly on contract with Mid Columbia Forklift (MidCo) with an offer to award provided they honor pricing submitted on the original IFB submittal. Toyota Lift Northwest who is a current vendor agreed to the addition of Category 4 and Category 5 to their portion of the contract. Raymond Handling Concepts Corporation who is a new vendor on contract agreed to the addition of Category 9. In re-awarding these categories to the next lowest responsive responsible bidders, the state will see an averaged price increase of 4.35%. Contract Specialist recommends that Category 4 and Category 5 be added to Toyota Lift Northwest and that Category 9 be awarded to Raymond Handling Concepts Corporation.
2010031003-10-2010 : CONTRACT TERMINATION NOTICE: Mid Columbia Forklift aka: MidCo, because of a pricing error that took place in the submission of their bid, has requested to terminate their portion of the contract for Convenience effective March 5, 2010. Orders currently in process will be honored but no further orders will be accepted by MidCo at this time. A review of their request is pending and a replacement supplier is under evaluation for this portion of the contract.
