| 08-07-2017 : | NEW CONTRACT | The Solicitation closed with 6 bids being recieved. All bids were responsive and responsible. Evaluation determined that manufacturers were only represented by one bidder. Vendors receiving awards are: Jennings Equipment for Kubota, Franssen Motors dba Jet City Equipment for Hyundai & ASV, Modern Machinery for Komatsu, N C Machine for Caterpillar, Pape for John Deere, and Sonsray for Case. Online documentation containing Pricing and Ordering information, as well as signed contracts are being finalized and will be posted to the state contract website within a few days. |

| 03-09-2017 : | 04/05/2016: In initial stages of development of a solicitation for new contract. Steve Jenkins (WSDOT TEF) is primary stakeholder. DES contacted Thurston County and City of Tacoma as they have had significant purchases off the contract to inquire about specifications. DES wants to ensure that the contract meets the needs of state agencies as well as political subdivisions. Feedback from the county and city was that the contract met thier needs and WSDOT's specifications are adequate for thier purposes. Both the city and county declined to be part of the stakeholder team as they did not believe they could bring additional value. WSDOT will be the subject matter experts.
