Because this is a new contractor, the schools intend to work out these issues byt themselves. If necessary, GA will mediate a teleconference to resolve these issues at the schools request. | |

With the new provider there will be a need to stay on top of contractor performance through the year. Both schools have decided that Lorana Myers, WSD, will be the single point of contact between both schools and the vendor. | 06-16-2009 : | A Post Award Conference was held at General Adminsitration on June 11, 2009. It was decided that as the new transportation provider, it was imperative that clear expectations were communicated. They meeting was helpful to both schools and the contractor. There is a little trepidation on the part of the schools, but with open communication on both sides, it should be fine. The State will be available for mediation, if necessary on escalted issues. | |

There is a pre-proposal meeting in Vancouver at the Washington School for the Deaf on April 22, 2009. The bid opening date is May 7, 2009 with an expected award date of June 1, 2009. | |
