DOL has been having extensive problems with items received not matching agreed to specs, many items being backordered (some since Dec. 15), and design changes on standard A+ production items. A meeting was held 5/20/2009 with participation by DOL, DSHS, CI, GA and A+ Apparel. The stock put in by CI to meet the 30 day delivery has not been sufficient to cover quantities/sizes ordered. Adding to the delays is the time required (8-12 weeks) for A+ to produce the "special" items on this contract. CI expects shipment soon of the remaining backordered items and for their inventory levels should cover future orders. A+ was supplied a listing of the current contract specs for all items to assure that specs are correct in their database for future orders. |

Final specs, items and pricing were established by CI and participating agencies. CI has started taking orders based on a 30 calendar day delivery. Some changes in the items agreed to by DSHS may be necessary. |

An additional stakeholder meeting was held on June 25, 2008 with Parks, DSHS, WSP and DOL in attendance. CI is not having any success in advancing the September 1, 2008 start date for their new uniform contract 01908. One of their planned suppliers has lost their access to Blauer garments. Another stakeholder meeting is being planned for July at which time we hope to see final specs and pricing from CI. |
