06-24-2015 : | CONTRACT REBID STATUS | Intent to Award letter was issued on June 23, 2015 to Gerber Products Company the apparent winner, Abbott Nutrition, FNS also an e-mail went out to the WIC Distribution list updating the status on the bid of the soy formula. Award is scheduled for July 6, 2015 which allows for the three day debrief period and the five day protest period, with the implementation of the new contract scheduled for October 01, 2015. |
06-23-2015 : | CONTRACT REBID STATUS | Bid opening took place on June 18, 2015 at 3:00 pm pacific time, in attendance was Kathy Decker, Mead Johnson, Kori Stencil, Abbott, Milt , Nestle`/Gerber on the phone was Dan , Gerber and a representative from Mead Johnson, also DES contract staffing consisting of Scott Edwards, Bid Clerk, Sonia Glenister, Contracts Assistance and Myself. Two bids were received one from Abbott and one from Nestle`/Gerber, Mead Johnson presented a no-bid letter. After the closer of the bid opening, evaluation was held and the bid tab was prepared. An intent to award letter has been prepared for management review. Once review is complete will send the letter to the apparent successful bidder, after the three day debrief and the five day protest period the award letter and contract will be sent. |

Sent all 22 entities and NASPO ValuePoint notification of the bid release. Have been requested by some entities and NASPO for a copy of he posted bid, these have been sent. The bid has been download by Abbott, Mead Johnson, Gerber and Ocean Ltd. |
03-25-2015 : | NEW CONTRACT | This contract as be established to re-bid the soy portion only of contract #05411, Mead Johnson has chosen to not extend the current contract so after much discussion much communication between CPR, Attorney General's Office, USDA, Mead Johnson's attorney, our internal legal, Christine Warnock and NASPO Value Point (formally WSCA-NASPO) it was decided to rebid the soy portion. Have discussed with stakeholders and all are agreement to move forward. The bid has been drafted and has gone through one peer review and is now in another peer review. Once reviews and updates to the bid draft have been done will sent on to USDA for a review. Once review is completed will forward onto Christine Warnock for a management review. After all updates and changes have been performed will post to WEBS. Anticipated posting date will be April 1, 2015. |
