The start date of the new contract is scheduled for November 1, 2009. This contract will be continued through October 31, 2009 to avoid a gap in contract coverage. 09-23-2008 : | This propane gas supply contract was last extended for a period "30 days after new contract award." 03-28-2008 : | A team has been formed to facilitate the rebid of this contract. This contract has reached maturity and the State is working on the rebid. Contractors have agreed to continued contract coverage until 30 days after the award of the replacement contract to assure a smooth transition to the new contract supplier. The planned release date for the new bid is the third week of June with an award in early September. One of the changes being considered for the new bid is an award by county or region using a bracketed pricing method based on delivery quantity. This approach will allow contract users the flexibility to make delivery site changes on their own without the involvement of the Office of State Procurement. State Agencies have been asked to review their propane requirements and Political Subdivisions are now being asked to provide us with their specific propane gas requirements, including: customer name, delivery address, tank size(s), tank ownership (customer-owned or supplier-owned) and estimated annual quantity. Listing all customer requirements will assure the best possible pricing and service for all contract users. To ensure that your facilities receive the best possible propane gas pricing and customer service, please provide us with the specifics of your needs April 30, 2008. If you have any questions or need additional information, contact Rick Burns at (360) 902-7412 or rburns@ga.wa.gov. | |
