2012121212-12-2012 : CONTRACT EXPIRATION: With the effective date of the new replacement contract 07812 being December 1, 2012, this contract 06906 expired on November 30, 2012 in accordance with the terms of the extension with all three vendors.
2012091309-13-2012 : CONTRACT EXTENSION SHORT TERM CONTRACT EXTENSION: Each of the three Contractors listed on the contract - Kuker-Ranken, The PPI Group and Trimble Navigation Limited - have agreed to extend this contract from September 20, 2012 through December 31,2012, or the effective date of a replacement contract, whichever occurs first – under the existing contract terms, conditions, specifications and pricing. Reference attached signed contract amendments. This extension will provide additional time to complete the evaluation and award of a replacement contract (#07812) and will avoid an interruption in contract coverage for survey equipment ordered by state agencies and political subdivision members of the state purchasing cooperative.
2011030303-03-2011 : CONTRACT EXTENSION CONTRACT EXTENSION: This contract has been extended for one additional year (9/20/11 through 9/19/12) under the existing contract terms, conditions, specifications and pricing. WSDOT reported good vendor performance and requested another year extension.
2010121412-14-2010 : DISTRIBUTOR NAME CHANGE: This contract update is to document the company name change from GeoLine Positioning Systems, Inc. to GeoLine, Inc. (who is an authorized distributor/reseller for Trimble Navigation Limited), and to update company contact information.
2010091309-13-2010 : CONTRACT EXTENSION: Effective September 20, 2010, this contract will be extended with each of the three vendors (Kuker-Ranken, Portland Precision and Trimble Navigation) under the existing contract terms, conditions, specifications and pricing.
2010051205-12-2010 : Sent e-mail to Gary Smith at WSDOT asking him to circulate to Regions asking for customer feedback regarding vendor performance and contract extension on our website form. WSDOT is the largest volume user of this contract. Last 3 year vendor reported sales showed: WSDOT purchases were 29%, Other state agency purchases were 11%, and political subdivision purchases were 60% of total sales which were $8,799,872.
2010040204-02-2010 : REQUIREMENTS ASSESSMENT: Survey will be issued to contract customers during April seeking feedback on their use of this contract, assessment of their needs, vendor performance and desire for contract extension. Contract extension for two additional years is possible.
2009092809-28-2009 : Oregon called to see if a local dealer can sell off the contract. Some of the vendors do list dealers, but any authorized dealer can sell from the contract. Customer should check with the manufacturer to determine if the local vendor is authorized. But if so, the contract purchase order should cite the contract number and purchases will be under that contract authority.
2009081208-12-2009 : WSDOT Eastern Region customer received substandard posts from PPI. Notified vendor of issue and problem was resolved the same day. Customer had wood replaced without cost and is very satisfied.
2009070107-01-2009 : PPI Group proposal to add autocad servicing to the contract was approved with a 25% discount off listed price for services.
2009061106-11-2009 : Met with GA mgmt over PPI Group's proposal to add autocad software servicing to contract. All remaining issues were resolved to mgmt's satisfaction. Approval is pending.
2009060906-09-2009 : Conferenced with vendor and customer about DOT's purchase of the the AutoCAD software. The software was purchased legitimately through NW IT, a division Dept of Information Services. The PPI Group proposes only to service the software legitimately purchased by DOT. All concerns about proposal were addressed and presented to GA management for approval to add software services by The PPI Group to the contract at 25% off list price. All levels of DOT has approved this contract action as the best interests of the customer.
2009060806-08-2009 : Reviewed contract action (to add software training and service to contract) with management. Additional information was needed to see where WSDOT purchased the product. Autodesk's website lists The PPI Group as an authorized seller of AutoCAD, a product not currently offered on the State Survey Contract #06906. Also needed was infomation on whether The PPI Group sold WSDOT the AutorCAD product and now wants to service the product via the contract. The PPI Group reports that it did not sell the product but is authorized to service it under Autodesk authorization and agreement. WSDOT purchased the AutoCAD product through DIS rather than the vendor, The PPI Group. Setting up a conference call today with WSDOT to clarify some information prior to approving this contract addition for software service and training.
2009052705-27-2009 : Requested additional information from PPI Group for autocad service addition to the contract. Also requested a status update on a service issue regarding a lathe used with WSDOT.
2009051805-18-2009 : PPI Group wants to add autocad services to contract for WSDOT. Customer is already using the autocad service for products purchased. Request to add service is needed to facilitate proper usefulness of survey products, so the request is being processed and evaluated for appropriateness on the contract.
2008121612-16-2008 : WSDOT sent an inquiry about the possibility of adding Sokkia brand of survey equipment to state contract #06906. DOT divisions were polled to see if the divisions were interested in a demonstration of the Sokkia brand of equipment. Not much interest was generated, so the request was dropped. Additionally, the state contract was originally generated to address the common brands that the state was using. A competitive bid was sent out for the brands that were present in state use. Sokkia equipment was not used by many state customers so it was not included and the contract is not flexible enough to add new equipment from non-contract vendors. A new brand of equipment must wait for a total rebid of the contract.
2008091209-12-2008 : Received signed contract amendments from all vendors agreeing to extend the contract 24 months under the same terms and conditions. Customers requested renewal for these vendors because service and pricing have met their needs. Because the product mix of price and services for this contract met the needs and no major changes are anticipated, the contract should be extended for 24 months. This extension is in the best interest of the customers and the State.
2008091009-10-2008 : Sent out letters to all three vendors seeking their intent to extend the contract for 24 months. Recevied contract amendment back from PPI Group, and Kuker-Raken, Inc. Called Trimble to see if they sent the contract amendment back to extend the contract.
2006092009-20-2006 : Contract was awarded to Kuker-Ranken, Inc., The PPI Group and Trimble Navigation Limited. Effective date of contract is September 20, 2006 through September 19, 2008.
