12-28-2007 : | Review of submitted bids for rebid 01607 by Contracts Specialist Connie Stacy revealed that in accordance with award/evaluation criteria of the IFB no complete bid was received. Furthermore, Competitive Procurement Standards (CPS) states bidders are only required to hold their bid pricing firm for ninety (90) days. Bid closed 03/08/07 and the 90 day pricing window far exceeded that requirement. Contracts Specialist Heidi Bohl was tasked by Purchasing Agent with the rebid of this contract. Submitted request to reject all bids and rebid to Purchasing Unit Manager for approval and signature by Purchasing Agent. Current contract 07400 is valid until a replacement contract is awarded.

12-04-2006 : | Extend the Electrical Supplies Services Statewide through March 30, 2007 or until the new contract is awarded. The original contract was awarded on January 1, 2000, without remaining extension options; and this three (3) month extension will allow for time to solicit a long term statewide electrical supplies service statewide contract. It is important to note that allowing the contract to expire at this point would greatly impact those utilizing the current contract because; 1) Substantial daily use as well as the possibility of emergency situations may arise that that require immediate attention and there is a current plan in place with the existing contractor to meet those needs. The impact of implementing a new process and changing vendors at this stage is costly and time sensitive, Extending this contract for an additional three (3) months (or until replacement contract is awarded), will have statewide impact due to the fact that it allows for preparation of a long term state electrical supplies services statewide contract with tremendous savings for the State of Washington. This will also allow no break in current contract service.
11-07-2006 : | The contract term for this contract expires 12/30/06, IFB 08406 in work to establish a new contract.

10-29-2004 : | A contract extension letter has been sent to the contractor CED and when I spoke with the contract administrator Bob Scott, he indicated that CED wants the contract extension. I expect to receive their official response in the first week of November and because this is a DOT critical use contract I hope to have the extension finalized by the end of November as the contract is schedule to expire on December 31, 2004
10-11-2004 : | The Electrical Supplies contract is up for extension on December 31, 2004. CPE's have be sent and tabulated and all feedback suggests that the contract should be extended.
