CONTRACT REPLACEMENT AND EXPIRATION: Effective December 1, 2010, the mechanical door hardware portion of this contract was replaced by Washington State Contract 04010. On 6/4/04 Dale Colbert re-assigned this requisition for digital security video systems to me. On 6/5/04 I notified Fay Foster of DOC that the hardware needed was already available through our door hardware contract 08601 with the exception of installation services. On 6/5/04 I discussed the possibility of adding these services to 08601 we both agreed that this action might make sense. On 6/10/04 I sent a request to current contract holder of Video Surveillance hardware Aronson Security a request for design and installation rates as this action falls within the scope of the original IFB which calls for "complete security systems". I'm now in the process of recommending these services be added to the contract. If they are, I will be able to have Aronson Security fulfill this requisition as well as compare their completed price with what was projected on the original requisition. The results will provide a competitive pricing measurement and potentially a negotiation tool. |
