However, DES plans to rebid a new statewide contract, a process that takes twelve to eighteen months. DES wants your input on creating the new contract if you used the previous contract(s) or you might use the new one.

IMPORTANT NOTICE CONCERNING PUBLIC WORKS:
ALL public agencies must follow their particular jurisdiction’s laws, rules, and expectations for projects that may include any Public Works elements.
DES Statewide Contracts are established in accordance with
RCW 39.26, which governs Competitive Purchasing. However, Statewide Contracts
exclude RCW 39.04 for Public Works,
RCW 39.80 for Architecture and Engineering Services, and
RCW 18.43 for Engineers and Land Surveyors. It is critical that each organization follow these and other Public Works requirements accordingly. For assistance, see resources below.

DES Facility Professional Services Team provides a wide range of professional Architectural/Engineering and Public Works contracting services and maintains an on-call consultant roster. This roster includes most of the professional services included in the prior Environmental Consulting Statewide Contract. Facility Planning Services may also assist state agencies, local governments, special purpose districts, and other political subdivisions of state government to address environmental consulting needs.
