Contract Scope This Statewide Contract is for the purchase of weekend transportation services for students who are transported to and from their homes and their assigned schools every weekend during the school year. Students attend both the Washington Center for Deaf & Hard of Hearing Youth (CDHY), formerly the Center for Childhood Deafness and Hearing Loss (CDHL) and the Washington State School for the Blind (WSSB) located in Vancouver, Washington. Routes include Northbound Routes (NBR) and Eastbound Routes (EBR).

DES has ensured this procurement meets RCW 39.26, follows State of Washington Current Procurement Policies, follows DES procurement process, and DES has determined that entering into this contract will be in the best interest of the State of Washington.

Contract 04119 for Student Transportation Charter Bus Services will expire on 7/31/2024. DES is considering not renewing the contract. Student transportation and charter bus services can be purchased under agencies’ procurement authority as a competitive solicitation, direct buy, or other procurement method upon expiration of the current contract.
